I discovered this problem with OpenOffice.org on a LTSP diskless
workstation based on Debian Edu/Skolelinux, where the added extention
installed into /usr/lib/openoffice/share/extention/install/ failed to
work.

I tracked this problem down to the fact that
/usr/lib/openoffice/share/uno_packages/cache/ is a symlink to
/var/spool/openoffice/uno_packages/cache/, which is below /var/spool/
where only the directory structure is copied into tmpfs on the
diskless workstation. This work with most packages with content in
/var/spool/, but not with OpenOffice.org.

Would it be possible to move those files to /var/lib/ to avoid this
problem? Looking at the significance of the uno_packages files, I
believe it is a more correct location.
