3.4.x has interesting bugs, yes - also in the Debian packaging...
I'd not use it - it's unsupported.

I don't see one.
Yay for ICU updates breaking stuff (we'll have that again with
ICU 4.9 which breaks Hebrew in LO completely - but for that we thankfully
have a patch already)
