Bug#623465: openoffice.org-writer: Search (and replace) with a regular expression does not work, if the search direction is reverse

The subject says (more or less) all.
If I try to use a regular expression for searching/replacing text then reverse direction finds nothing. At least if there is a line end '$' part of the expression.
Sorry, I've not checked all possible expressions ;-) but with expressions which are important for me/us it does not work.
For example converting text with hard coded line ends it is a good way to search for these line ends and replace the end with a space using this way.
The same thing is searching for empty lines.
