It does. If you do it correct it does.

It works in my "normal" sid chroot (amd64), but unfortunately I can reproduce
this in a clean wheezy chroot.. :(

After a dist-upgrade of the system to a supported version - sid -
(without -mysql-connector installed) a apt-get install of -mysql-connector
works:

Unpacking libreoffice-mysql-connector (from .../libreoffice-mysql-connector_1.0.1+LibO3.3.2-2_i386.deb) ...
Processing triggers for libreoffice-common ...
Synchronizing repository for shared extensions
 


 Synchronizing repository for bundled extensions
  


  Enabling: MySQL Connector
   Enabling: mysqlc.uno.so
   Enabling: Drivers.xcu

unopkg done.
