Renee,

My comments in the forum were not meant to bash openoffice or the Debian version. What I meant was my version of openoffice was broken because it was not working properly. I was also not sure how I was going to upgrade my version....but a little googling and manning of aptitude showed me it was very easy to install the testing version from Debian, which does not have this problem (based on the forum comments). I am now confused as to why my version of openoffice was stable when my system is supposed to be testing....but that is a problem for another day! I can complete the project that depended on DSUM and move on to the next one! :-)
