Mhh, indeed... Even a plain wav file copied from the "gallery" doesn't work.
I tested this not that short before the release, wonder what broke...

The question is what...

No idea yet whether related or not but I get the follwing on the console:

jack server is not running or cannot be started
Cannot connect to server socket err = Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden
Cannot connect to server socket
jack server is not running or cannot be started
--- snip ---

Though OOo doesn't use jack correctly (and installing jackd doesn't make
a difference either)
