Especially because of this:

Depends: openoffice.org-core (= 1:3.2.1-6), libatk1.0-0 (>= 1.29.3), libc6 (>= 2.2.5), libdbus-glib-1-2 (>= 0.78), libgcc1 (>= 1:4.1.1), libglib2.0-0 (>= 2.24.0), libgtk2.0-0 (>= 2.10.0), libpango1.0-0 (>= 1.14.0), libstdc++6 (>= 4.1.1), libx11-6, ure (>= 1.4.0)

So if you actually had a old -gtk installed, that = dependency would have
prevented you from installing a newer -core without upgrading gtk.

So I really think you had a stale copy from wherever installed here, at leat
the dependencies don't allow that (anymore). Maxbe 3.0.1s dependencies did,
but then this "bug" was long fixed.

Can we close this bug?

René
