Bug#522090: openoffice.org-kde: Unable to open or save files on smb:// shares with KDE fpicker
The above occur with 2.x builds of openoffice, but I'm getting the same issue with 3.2 when trying to open smb:// URLs directly with openoffice (splash-screen shows but no nothing else happens, using the command "openoffice.org smb://user@server/file.ppt").
A solution is given in the openoffice forums (http://www.oooforum.org/forum/viewtopic.phtml?t=57204), but I presume openoffice _is_ meant to handle smb:// URLs?
