I also tried lenny+openoffice.org+openoffice.org-report-builder to
squeeze and then (after fixing the java-gcj-compat mess[1]) to sid[2].
Also works....

[1] apt-get install gcj-jdk gcj-jre gcj-jre-headless
[2] a direct lenny->sid upgrade would (probably due to the same mess)
remove -report-builder, -writer2latex etc.
