But that can't be it, the KDE4 libs in both testing and unstable
are 4.3.4.

Hmm, you must, -kde has a = dep which otherwise would not be fullfillable.
As said, it works here.
It does not here :-( Are there some tests I can make to help pinpoint the issue?
