Quite slow, yes.
CPU 100% no. Unbearably slow? No.

Right now, this still doesn't count like a important bug for me, tbh.

It'd be nice if you could test with "vanilla" "debs" from www.openoffice.org
and see whether it's a debian-only (libs?) or a go-oo only problem.

Do you use cairo by chance? ("Hardwarebeschleunigung verwenden" in the Options)
Does it change anywthing when you (un)check it?
Then it'd be interesting to know whether it's fixed in 3.2 beta, reportedly
they fixed some chart performance issues there...
