Package: Open Office
Version: 2.4.1 core 1.2.4.1-17

The problem arose after using Update Manager to update the Open Office package.

I had a spreadsheet already open and sought to create a new 'Writer' document by double-clicking on one of my template files.

This caused Open Office to crash with the error message as shown in the attached screen capture:
Screenshot-OpenOffice.org 2.4[1]

On clicking the 'OK' button and restarting Open Office the Document Recovery screen appears:
Screenshot-OpenOffice 2.4[2]

On clicking the 'Start Recovery' button the program indicates that it has recovered the file RJH_Accounts_07-08 but then crashes again and the same error screen appears as shown at Screenshot-OpenOffice.org 2.4[1]

After that the process is merely circular - and I am unable to get to a point where I can click 'Next' to open the Error Report tool.

I have re-booted the system but that has no effect on the problem.

I thought that a complete removal of Open Office - reboot - followed by a re-install may cure the problem but have not attempted this as yet in case you require further information.

Yours sincerely

Hi,

fixed with a rebuild in 1:2.4.1-17+b1 for. amd64, i386, mipsel, ppc, s390, sparc
have it already (with the mirror push currently running it's going to unstable
and testing-proposed-updates).

ia64, mips and armel will come later when armel finished building.

Grüße/Regards,

René
