Bug#496313: openoffice.org: File opening dialogue does not always use current file's directory
Package: openoffice.org
Version: 2.0.4.dfsg.2-7etch5
Severity: normal
The file opening dialogue should always start on the directory of the file currently being
edited, so that parallel files can be opened. But it only does that if the current file was
opened using this dialogue before. If Open Office was started with the file name on the
command line, the directory used in the dialogue is the one used for the last file saved or
opened in the previous session. This even applies if Open Office was started with the full
file name including the full path to the file on the command line --- and is very annoying
if you start Open Office through a file manager like the Midnight Commander to edit a file
and then want to move on to another file in the same directory.
