Bug#466200: openoffice.org-writer: java installation cannot be permanently set
Package: openoffice.org-writer
Version: 1:2.4.0-5
Severity: grave
René,
I've got it here too.
Note my OO has been running for 2.0.4 on my lenny installation, and I try to keep everything nice and up-to-date.
Now I notice I can not run the svg extension (the same that runs fine under XP).
Reading this bug I tried my old database that connects using jdbc to an sql server, and surprise: it doesn't work anymore.
OO detects the 2 java jre's fine (Sun 1.6.0_06) and java_gcj. I can check the box (Sun), press ok, but when I have look again it is unchecked.
Restarting OO same: unchecked.
Error message when trying to use the jre: the selected JRE is defect. Please install openoffice.org-java-common.
Needless to say that the JRE seems to be working fine with other applications andjava-common is installed.
Can I be missing a library or package?
Ferry
