Bug#479366: [openoffice.org-writer] OOo 2.4 - shift-mouse selection can be abbreviated

Package: openoffice.org-writer
Version: 1:2.4.0-5
Severity: minor

if you select a text with mouse than you cannot remove some part selected using only the mouse and the shift key, as in all other programs and in OOo < 2.4.

To reproduce the bug:

0) Open OOoWriter

1) write some text
for example

this is a text line

2) use the mouse (left button) to select a text portion then old down shift key
for example select "is a"

3) release the mouse button then click at end of next word to include this in the selection
in the example will be selected "is a text"

4) release the mouse button then click at start of the last selected word ... nothing happen!

as workaround you can use cursor key to remove part of the selection

Ciao
Davide
