Bug#478119: [openoffice.org-writer] OOo 2.4 - wrong return character (\n) in copy and paste from others applications

Package: openoffice.org-writer
Version: 1:2.4.0-3+b1
Severity: important

I don't know if this is a OOo bug ... but with OOo 2.3 all work very well.

If you copy a text from others (not all) applications (for example gedit) you have a wrong end of line character in OOoWriter

To reproduce the bug:

0) open OOoWriter

1) write some text lines
for example

abc
bcd
def

2) search the following regular expression
c$

it found the first line

3) save the file as a text file
for example
/tmp/a.txt

4) open the file with gedit

5) select all and copy (Ctrl-c)

6) open a new OOoWriter and paste (Ctrl-v)

7) search the following regular expression
c$

no match found!

If you use the cursor you can see that there are an invisible character after the word 'abc'. If you delete this character the search found the first line

I use ISO-8859-15 in the system and in all programs.

Ciao
Davide
