Hrmpf. Seems this is not complete. In a i386 pbuilder in a amd64 kernel
it uses i486-linux-gnu-gcc (which should be OK) but it later fails in
bridges because it still thinks it should compile amd64 bridges.
[ And the patch to configure of the internal icu somehow breaks the etch
backport build, but that's an other story ]
