Well, I had ttf-arphic-uming installed and OOo started.

... and I installed ttf-arphic-ukai and it still starts.

(in 1:2.4.0~rc6-1 of sid. 2.3.1 is not supported anymore and should be
replaced as soon as possible)

(You filed it against the dead-end 2.3.1-5 version, so I don't need to
mark it closed in sid since it automatically is marked as applying to
testing only)
