Works for me with rc3 (but rc2 should work too, rc3 only touches some
basic and base stuff). Please try with sids version again (2.3.1
is not supported anymore and should vanish better earlier than later).

At least the attached file from you as well as the 1.cvs from the
original submitter open fine for me with 1:2.4.0~rc3-1 on amd64.
