Package: openoffice.org
Version: 2.0.4-5
Severity: serious

This is a relatively new problem. I don't recall the last version that
I didn't have this issue, but openoffice.org had been working in this
amd64 environment.

This problem is 100% reproducable on this system. Any OpenOffice.org
application, be it writer, draw, math, will cause the Xorg server to
hand and consume 100% CPU when any menu item is selected. It doesn't
matter which menu item is selected, "File" is sufficient. The mouse
continues to operate, which is strange, but the keyboard cannot be used
even to switch to another VT. The only way to recover control of the
system is to kill X, either by logging in remotely, or by setting up a
"sleep 60 && kill -9 PID_FOR_X".

This problem persists for the current version of the OOo apps in etch as
well as sid.
