Define crashes. hangs? Or what? It does that here also with base
installed. (Although with a 2.3 development version)

Neither is DicOOo. (imho)

That's what we do currently. That's why -common does not depend on
-base.

The openoffice.org metapackage is exactly there for people who don't
know what they do, if people just install -writer etc they should know
what they do...

I am currently thinking about reworking the packages' contents,
though...
