I have been suffering from the same problem in using Oo Calc. While trying to find relevant information via Google search, I visited Debian bug report 272712. A message in the report says that export SAL_DISABLE_CUPS=1 before running Ooo would fix the problem. Though the report is about Ooo 1.1.2. I have given it a try, and it worked. Shinichi Sakata
