Hi Rene,

AFAICT the Tango icons are licensed under the 'CC by-sa 2.5' license
which is considered non-free by Debian (see tango-icon-theme package). I
do not know if the icons shipped with OOo are under the same license,
but if they are, at least this package would become non-free and make
OOo possibly contrib.

The copyright file for the OOo packages does not tell about the licenses
for the icon sets. Furthermore it states that the sources were obtained
from http://download.openoffice.org/1.1.0/source.html which reveals,
that the information contained in this file is outdated anyway.

However, if this is bug is false alarm, please accept my apology and
close it or downgrade severity appropriately. The debian/copyright file
should be reviewed nevertheless.

Cheers,
Fabian

The GNOME ones, yes.

No.

i just talked with "jimmac". The GNOME ones are CC-BY-SA 2.5 but the
OOo ones are thankfully LGPLed.

Because, if they are LGPLed, it's covered by the LGPL already :)

Not really, just that that line never got changed by updates..
