No, it's related to http://packages.debian.org/cgi-bin/search_packages.pl?searchon=names&version=all&exact=1&keywords=libxt-java.
Sarge has an old version.

No. Not AFAIK. When building on sarge, yes :)

Use whatever is done on sid.

Java library. XML Parser. --with-system means what it says: Use it from system
instead of shipping its own.
dpkg -S /usr/share/java/xml-apis.jar
libxalan2-java: /usr/share/java/xml-apis.jar
