Bug#351357: openoffice.org: oowriter takes a 1-2 seconds for each keypress on my dual core athlon 3200

For each keypress, oowriter hangs for 1-2 seconds. My computer has 2 GB of ram and a really fast cpu (dual core athlon 3200). So why does it take so long when I type a single letter? This makes oowriter nearly unusable.
