Hi, after I had almost finished this reply, I figured out how stupid I have been and I already say sorry for this. (Tut mir echt Leid.) I still have a question concerning this topic, so if you are in a hurry and do not want to read my excuses and what I did wrong, just jump right to the end. I think the main fault was, that I did not reload the document. Not seeing any difference, I was confused why I should replace Nimbus Sans L by Helvetica and not the other way round. So I also added to replace Helvetica by Nimbus Sans L. After restarting OOo, that setting made all useless (something like a loop) and nothing had changed. Writing this response, I tried it again and I figured it out. Now follow my tests, which worked this time. Ok, I compared a print-out from half a year ago. There everything fits on one page. Now my father said, he did not change anything in the document and opened it some weeks ago. Now the end of the text is on a second page. I compared those two and it looks like the "line spacing" (Zeilenabstand) is bigger than before. It is set to 0 in the paragraph option (Absatz) menu. That is the reason it is needing more room. Figuring out the one above, it looks like that, if no font substitutions are set up, the line spacing seems to be bigger. (If for some answers there exists documentation on the net, please point me to it, since I do not want to waste your time any further.) 1. a) Why is for example Times New Roman shown and Helvetica is not? b) Why is OOo.org unable to display Helvetica correctly and needs substitution? 2. Why does Helvetica show up in other programs font selector list (for example The GIMP)? 3. Why is it available again, when you export it to PDF? 4. Do you know if this is the same case under M$ Windows? 5. Is Nimbus Sans L available under M$ Office? 6. Where can I figure out how OOo is substituting fonts? 7. As in the middle, why is there a bigger line spacing, when no font substitutions are set up?
