Bug#397398: openoffice.org-calc: improvement needed in iterative cell calculation
Package: openoffice.org-calc
Version: 2.0.4-5
Severity: wishlist
iterative cell recalculation in oocalc is rather limiting. i can only
compute 1,000 iterations for my purposes -- for convergence, i need more
than this. there is no reason to limit the number of iterations.
the options in tools -> options -> openoffice.org calc -> calculate are
ambiguous. saying that convergence is reached with 1,000 steps or
minimum change 0.001 for example is ambiguous. if i want a minimum
change, i want it to go for infinite steps until it gets there (or pop
up a warning saying, do you want me to continue after 10,000 or
something like thaht). the user should either select number of steps or
max change, but not both in conjunction.
