Try to open any .doc file. It shows up the template list in which
microsoft word is not listed. Also if you say new file there is no
writer in that list

Hmm. I just tried a sarge base + openoffice.org system and upgraded that to=
=20
sid. worked. no idea what went wrong for you atm..

Anyway, of course, If you don't have -writer you can't use .docs, so this i=
s=20
no bug and I am closing this bug now :)
