Bug#336467: openoffice.org: on upgrade, newer versions should import the settings from a previous version

Package: openoffice.org
Version: 2.0.0-1
Severity: wishlist

Every time I upgrade OpenOffice.org, I have to re-create my settings /
configuration, including template, or copy them from the configuration
directory, which is hidden.

It will be a good idea if there is a provision to import settings from
a previous install.

This seems to be a Debian specific issue, since Debian disables the
initial ``registration screen'' run by the default versionof OO.o,
which, I am told, has an option to import settings from earlier
installed versions.
