I try to build openoffice 1.1.3-9 on a Debian testing with Gnome Desktop
Environment. But there is a dependency problem:
openoffice need kdelibs4-dev and kdelibs4-dev has dependencies on fam
packages but gnome-desktop-environment package has dependency on gamin
which it is in conflict with fam...

And why is this a bug? OOo needs kdelibs4-dev to build. That's a fact.
That something else on your system does conflict with it diesn't make it
a FTBFS bug. If the build-deps were fullfilled and it would fail then
then it is a FTBFS.
The same problem is with concurrent library packages like the various
db's. if you have libdb3-dev installed you can't build packages needing
libdb4.2-dev unless you remove libdb3-dev and install libdb4.2-dev. This
is no problem.
The build dependencies are specified correctly and it builds fine.
If you want to build OOo (why do you want to build it after all?) you'd
need to remove gamin, I am afraid...
