Re: Bug#289058: marked as done (OOo - MySQL - ODBC - Cannot edit tables)
I have got the same problem, and after a lot of hours lost between logs
and internet, it really seems debian-related.
After installing mysql and odbc and let them run, I am able to connect
via odbc, but OOo thinks that tables are not editable. I checked rights
and keys on database, and everything seems fine, but OOo doesn't allow
me to modify records.
If i try to send a command from OOo via sql, it is regularly executed
(also an insert value command!).
Also I cannot edit the structure of the table (i.e. it is not regularly
retrieved), but OOo let me create new tables. After creation, I am not
able not only to edit them, but also to see its structure!
Strange thing, if I connect to an internet database located on another
server, it works!
I really can't figure out the bug, especially where it can be located,
if it is an OOo problem or an mysql or odbc problem.
My conf is:
kernel 2.4.27
OOo 1.1.2
mysql 4.0.23
unixODBC 2.2.4-11
TIA
Michele
