Hi,

this is not a bug. You cannot add a printer in Openoffice, when it finds
cups installed on your system. It even happens if it only detects
libcups* which is installed for compatibility-reasons when using gnome

However, it is possible, to add printers and use them with cups:

Edit /etc/openoffice/openoffice.conf, and uncomment the native CUPS
printing support in the last line:

	export SAL_DISABLE_CUPS=1

Now you can add your printer with oopadmin and it will work.
