Bug#275312: openoffice.org: does not respect user languages settings, force them to re-configure it inside "Options"

Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.1.2-4
Severity: normal

Hello,

OpenOffice.org disregard users locales settings like LC_ALL. For
instance, even if the interface is correctly localized, in option, the
default language and currency is inappropriate.

This is a real pain in the ass if you have to install OpenOffice.org
for several users.

The same applies for the printer configuration: US Letter should not
be the default for a user that have a locale like French, but A4
instead.

It is tremendously annoying to deal with software that do not grab
configuration settings from the Desktop environment, forcing users to
endlessly configure the same things.

If you want to reply to me, please remove the invalid string from the
first part of my email address. I'm tired of getting my address
grabbed by robots on the Debian BTS.

Regards,
