I'm sorry, I don't understand what you are trying to explain.  Can you
perhaps rephrase:

What are the steps to reproduce?  E.g. 'choose File->open', or 'upgrade
package version'
What is the expected behaviour?
What behaviour do you see?

I don't understand what you mean by these phrases:
 last accesed directory
 next time you read a file
