why was that bug reassigned to openoffice-org-bin? What is wrong with
openoffice.org-bin?

wrt the tasksel problem, sorry Joey, sou are wrong. We *do* want to fix that
but it is not easy. Its isn*not* true that we don't care. I even did a
suggestion how to hack around this problem in tasksel...

Your idea was to nuke all l10n packages and merge them into the main package
which is bad for the package size (each language pack is around 2M or
more..).

The other problem is that the depends on a specific version _is_ needed as
http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=266042&archive=yes shows.
When a language is newly added that language pack will only work from
begginning of that openoffice.org / openoffice.org-bin version.

But: Maybe we could do a Conflicts: against the previous version. Hmm..

Rene
