Bug#272638: openoffice.org: .desktop files needs MimeType entry
Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.1.2-4
Severity: important
Without a mimetype entry in the desktop files, you cannot click on
documents to open them in Gnome 2.8. Gnome 2.8 is still in
experimental, but adding the entries to the desktop files cannot hurt.
I marked this bug as important as now to read a word attachement with
evolution I have to save the attachement, start oo.org manually, click
on open and locate the document in oo.org file dialog. Previously I
could just click on the attachement and evolution proposed me an entry
saying "open in OpenOffice.org..."
