Hi,

I have a spreadsheet something like this:

1
1
1
5
5
5
10
10
20
20
20
20

And I want to do this:

=COUNTIF(A2:A1000;"<=G2")

where G2 is some cutoff value.

=COUNTIF(A2:A1000;"<=10")

does work, though.

Thanks,
Dave

The BTS is not a user support forum, please take your question to an
appropriate forum. You should have noticed from the high count of bugs
in the BTS that the maintainers have far too much to do already without
this sort of 'bug report'.

At a guess, you can't put the name of a cell in a string and expect OOo
to know that you didn't really mean the text "G2". Perhaps you need to
get the value of G2 out with the CELL function, but I'm a packager not a
spreadsheet function expert, sorry.

Chris
