Bug#254239: openoffice.org: Printing fails entirely with certain CUPS printers
Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.1.2-2
Followup-For: Bug #254239
I suppose my problem is somehow related to this bug. Options within
oopadmin have disappeared except for those available for a generic
printer, the paper selection dialog is empty. Printing does nothing --
no print job is generated, no error message appears.
This applies both to root and ordinary users, but only to one printer
(HP DeskJet 930C). The other printer (cups-pdf) works fine.
I noticed that oopadmin started displaying "lpr" as command for the
non-working printer. That wasn't there before and does not appear for
the pdf printer.
I hope you get that fixed before Sarge gets released. After all Sarge
is great -- thanks! :-)
Regards, Jan
