Bug#216952: openoffice.org: submenu in submenu against gnome HIG - please let gnome stay gnome
Package: openoffice.org
Version: 1.1.0-3
Severity: normal
Followup-For: Bug #216952
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/1.0/menus.html#menu-type-submenu
warrant against deeper than 2 levels submenus.
Don t you feel gnome is simple versus kde ...
Another part of the HIG warn against spotting the application before
function, thus:
Office
|Abiword Word Processor
|Database Manager Mergeant
|...
|Writer Word Processor/OOWriter Word Processor
|Calc Spreadsheet
|Math Equation Editor
|...
in my opinion the bloat is answered by this functional recommandation ( eg.
http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/hig/1.0/desktop-integration.html#application-menu-entries )
Casdading submenus are a windows artefacts aim at having the company name on the
menu .
