Hi Chris,

I'm afraid it doesn't reveal much :(

Here's what I get, launching oowriter, and selecting Bibliography Database
from the Tools menu:

jel@tundra:~$ dpkg -l openoffice.org openoffice.org-bin
Desired=Unknown/Install/Remove/Purge/Hold
| Status=Not/Installed/Config-files/Unpacked/Failed-config/Half-installed
|/ Err?=(none)/Hold/Reinst-required/X=both-problems (Status,Err:
uppercase=bad)
||/ Name           Version        Description
+++-==============-==============-============================================
ii  openoffice.org 1.1.0-2        high-quality office productivity suite
ii openoffice.org 1.1.0-2 OpenOffice.org office suite binary files
jel@tundra:~$ oowriter

Starting configuration import into user data ..
.. importing layer file:///tmp/oooLocale.XXXXkZW8Be - succeeded
