I guess the problem is because your temp directory was full.  However, OOo
shouldn't crash just because of that.

I found several similar bugs reported upstream, but they were supposed to
have been fixed already.

Please can you verify that this bug still exists for you with the latest
version in unstable, 1.1.0-1?
