$ LANG=lt_LT.UTF-8 ooffice

and dead keys/compose sequences work.

OpenOffice is using $LANG instead of $LC_CTYPE somewhere. The rest of
the X Window System relies on LC_CTYPE for finding out the charset of
the locale and compose key definitions.
