I've had a look at the issue and I don't see any reason why we can't
integrate these. We're very busy at the moment; if you can spend time on
this it would be helpful for you to create a patch that we can apply against
ooo-build/patches to include your fixes, but we'll try and get them in
whatever you decide to do.

We don't have infrastructure in place yet to apply a GSI file and generate
resources from it, so it will need support adding to the packaging process.
This will probably be the longest part of the job.

18:19 < haggai> michael: the Estonian project is asking about getting
Estonian translation in from a GSI file. You don't have a way of
integrating a GSI file yet, do you?
18:20 * michael has no clever i18n tools unfortunately,
18:20 < michael> there must be a tool to do it; ultimately,
18:20 < haggai> you have to use transex to overwrite :( the .src files
18:20 < michael> I think that's the best way;
18:21 < martink> haggai: transex3?, lngex3? and a third one
18:21 < michael> patch it, then overwrite the .src files,
18:21 < haggai> yes, Mandrake do that in their packages
18:21 < haggai> and we almost did it for pt-BR, but it got integrated upstream
18:21 < michael> perhaps we should have a nice mechanism for doing it in ooo-build;
18:21 < michael> such that re-patching doesn't screw with the timestamps etc.
18:22 * michael must work on Mdk to get them to use ooo-build,
18:22 < haggai> yes, I agree we should wrap the nastiness with a tool in ooo-build
