Bug#207647: openoffice.org-gnome: wrong name and misleading description
Package: openoffice.org-gnome
Version: 1.0.99+1.1rc-1
Severity: normal
Tags: sid
I think this package should be renamed into openoffice.org-desktopfiles. The
description states that the files are only for Gnome, but obviously the
application data .desktop files are also used by KDE, at least by the KDE 3.2
cvs versions I use. OOo should obviously apppear in the KDE menue as well. I
fear that many users of KDE will not install openoffice.org-gnome, because
they
think the files contained there will only be useful for gnome users, which is
not the case. .desktop files are a freedesktop standard:
See http://www.freedesktop.org/standards/desktop-entry-spec/
for the proposed specification.
