Bug#189480: openoffice.org: Minus character does not display in formala editor

When using the formula editor the minus character does not display. Instead
a small rectangle standing on its short side is displayed. Other operator
characters like plus, times, cdot etc. do display correctly. I've tried
fiddling with the font settings and unsetting locale environment variables,
but to no avail.
