Bug#171795: openoffice.org: openoffice toolbars and menus all scrunched up and too small to use

This are known issues. This is supposed to be fixed in
openoffice.org-debian-files 1.0.1-6+4. Can you install the package
(either directly after fetching it from
http://ftp.debian.org/debian/pool/contrib/o/openoffice.org-debian-files/
or waiting till it arrives to your favourite mirror).

Does that help?

BTW: Have you read README.Debian.gz where this problem is decribed and
some methods fixing that are mentioned?
