Re: Bug#171586: ITP: myspanish -- The myspell spanish dictionary for openoffice

Hi,
FYI,
Richard Holt of the OpenOffice.org project already has built a Spanish
dictionary for use by OpenOffice.org
http://whiteboard.openoffice.org/lingucomponent/download_dictionary.html
(see the es_ES.zip file release notes).
He was one of the very first dictioanry contributors to OpenOffice.org
and is now in charge of the lingucomponent website, dictionaries, etc.
Perhaps you and he should get together and merge dictionaries so that
there is one better Spanish dictionaries instead of multiple ones.

Thanks for the pointer, Kevin. It is based in the same dict I use for
ispell, so I find reasonable to make it come from the same source, with
Richard aditions merged, but I still have to check it further. I will
also use it to test my ispell2myspell converter to check whether it is
really useful for anything else than having some fun programming.
I obtain the same results for all but the W flag (except that I still
keep comments on the right side), which in Richard's file is splitted.
Is that done for readability or for a better loading?
One side comment about the hyphenation file, the original tex file by
Julio Sanchez is not GPL (see
/usr/share/texmf/tex/generic/hyphen/sphyph.tex). I do not if this affect
the derived work done for openoffice, or if this latter can be regarded
as an independent stuff.
Cheers,
Agustin
