Portuguese accents with openoffice...
Hi
I installed the OpenOffice -- it is quite OK. I got in trouble when I
tried to use portuguese accents like, é, ã, è, and so on.
I believe the package doens't recognize my locale setup -- I put in the
/ect/environment and in locale.gen, to use pt_BR as well as my
XF86Config-4 is configured to use brazilian portuguese keyboard. I got
the following message when I start the software:
I18N: Operating system doesn't support locale ""
So, I tried to install StarOffice6.0-Beta and I got a similar message
when I start the software:
sala15:/usr/local# ./so-6_0-beta-bin-linux-en.bin -net
glibc version: 2.2.5
I18N: Operating system doesn't support locale ""
Warning: locale not supported by C library, locale unchanged
getIE
writeInfo
sala15:/usr/local#
I tried to configure locales using Option-->Languages Setting --> Language to pt_BR and nothing happen.
What could I do to repair that in my openoffice? Is there any confi file that I could change? I
