Gnome menu items
Some info on gnome desktop items
/usr/lib/openoffice/share/gnome/net/
Currently has a selection of .desktop files that have the incorrect
paths in. These are used to create the users gnome menu items.
I suggest that you link the contents of
/usr/share/applnk/OpenOffice.org
to
/usr/lib/openoffice/share/gnome/net/
So that these have the correct paths and and save a little space.
To get a link in the main menu I suggest linking the
/usr/share/applnk/OpenOffice.org
dir to
/usr/share/gnome/apps/Applications/
This should create an OpenOffice.org sub menu within Gnome.
The other option is to put the application .desktop items directly in
/usr/share/gnome/apps/Applications/ and the print admin and setup
.desktop items in /usr/share/gnome/apps/Settings/OpenOffice.org
directory.
