This is a large timeconsuming job so I'm not making any guarantees about
when we'll get round to this. Michael is integrating stuff upstream anyway
so they'll trickle through slowly whatever happens. For example, libart
support is already added in CVS and will be in rc2.

We try not to deviate too much from the official packages: we are only a
small number of volunteers working in their spare time so we need upstream's
support and it is easier if we don't change things so much that no-one else
know's what is going on.

Also, several of these patches make assumptions that we do not have the
liberty to make for all of Debian, and each case must be evaulated and
considered and possibly modified in turn. For example, the CUPS support
links in cups libraries so we would end up with extra dependencies on cups
even for people without cups installed.

(We're always looking for extra help :)

Chris
